WEEK 2 Cherry Hill 4, Roughriders 2 June 11, 2013 BELLMAWR – The Roughriders were held to just four hits and were defeated by Cherry Hill, 4-2, on Tuesday night. The Roughs jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first on a sacrifice fly by Eric Juliani, scoring Dean Wilson (1-2, HBP). In the third, Mike Wasienko reached on an error and advanced to second on a single by Andrew Frangos. Wasienko took third on a wild pitch and scored when the throw went into left field for a 2-0 lead. Starter Mike Reagle breezed through his three inning start, allowing no runs and no hits while striking out four. Cherry Hill would rally, however, scoring one in the fourth and three in the fifth off Jason Cavanaugh to take the first of three meetings between the two rivals. Roughriders 3, Deptford 2 June 12, 2013 WEST DEPTFORD – Nick Cavanaugh earned his second win of the year by pitching six innings of three-hit baseball in the Roughriders’ 3-2 win over Deptford. Cavanaugh held Deptford hitless for the first five innings, yielding just three walk and no runs. Dene Vespe delivered an RBI single in the second inning to give the visitors a 1-0 lead. In the sixth with the score 2-0, Adam Bartholomew walked and stole second. Mike Wasienko then singled down the line in right field to extend the lead to 3-0. Deptford broke up Cavanaugh’s no-hit bid in the sixth, scoring two runs on three hits and a walk. Cavanaugh finished with seven strikeouts. Christian Rahman pitched a perfect seventh (0 H, 1 K) to earn his first save of the season.
