HADDONFIELD - The Roughriders and Garton’s played to a 2-2 tie on Monday night. The game was called after seven innings due to
darkness. Trailing 2-0 in the third, Ryan Easterday started the frame with a single and Alex Reinicker followed with a double off the third base bag. Matt
Cassell’s RBI fielder’s choice scored Easterday, and when Mike Brynes’ infield grounder was booted the game was tied at two. The Roughriders would then strand runners
at third in both the sixth and seventh innings in settling for the tie, the team’s second of the season. Nick Cavanaugh was credited with his first complete game
of the year, allowing just two first inning runs, then shutting down Garton’s the rest of the way (5 H, 2 BB, 7 K).

WOODBURY - The Roughriders stayed winless in their last eight contests, this time losing to the Senators 5-3. Roughrider
pitching yielded just three hits this night, but handed out 11 walks. Offensively, Mike McLauglin’s two-run homer in the sixth pulled the team to within 5-3,
but scoring chances were squandered throughout, including leaving the bases loaded to end the game. Matt DeFrank (4 IP, 3 H, 3 ER, 6 BB, 3 K) took the loss to
fall to 0-2.

HADDONFIELD - The Roughriders let a 4-2 lead slip away in the seventh inning, and saw their winless streak extended to nine games in
a 7-6 loss to Sportz Central. With the game tied 2-2 in the sixth, Alex Reinicker singled with one out and advanced to second on a wild pitch. Ryan Easterday then
singled into short left field with two outs to break the tie. Mark DiArenzo followed with a single to score Easterday and extend the lead to 4-2. But Sportz Central scored
five times in the top of the seventh on three hits, an error, walk, and hit batter. The Roughs nearly tied the game in the last half, scoring two and leaving
runners at first and second to end the contest. The Roughriders have not seen the win column since June 15.
