WASHINGTON TWP - Lefthander John DiCostanzo pitched six innings of no-hit ball, including 11 strikeouts, in the Roughriders' opening day victory over the Senators. Eric Sabato went 1-3 with two RBI while Danny Vazquez tallied two hits, two RBI, and two runs scored. The Roughs scored three in the fourth to break a scoreless tie and extended their lead with a five-spot in the fifth. DiCostanzo, who threw 80 pitches, was lifted after the sixth.

VINELAND - Garton's scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning and nipped the Roughriders by a score of
4-3. The Roughs jumped out quickly in the first as Eric Sabato and Jack Murphy hit back-to-back doubles for a 1-0 lead. Trailing 2-1 in the third, Danny Vazquez doubled to leadoff the inning and Murphy again came through with an RBI single to tie the game 2-2. Shea McKenna's RBI single in the fifth scored Sabato (2-4, 2 R) to give the Roughriders a 3-2 lead, but Garton's got a two-out, two-run single in the bottom of the sixth to take the lead for good. Marty Foust, making his first TriCounty appearance, went five innings (5 IP, 6 H, 1 BB) in a no-decision. Murphy finished 2-3 with two RBI.
HADDONFIELD - The Roughriders scored a 6-0 win over their intra-division rival, the Haddonfield Dawgs, on Friday night. The McKenna brothers would power the Roughriders on this night. Cole McKenna had two hits, including a double, and drove in three runs. Shea McKenna went 1-2 with two RBI and a run scored. Rookie pitchers Ryan Lynch (3 IP, 2 H, 2 BB, 5 K) and Cole Bauman (1 IP, 1 H) combined on the shutout. The game was shortened to four innings due to weather.
