Roughriders 7, Moorestown 6 June 16, 2008
MOORESTOWN - The Roughriders rallied for a 7-6 win on Monday night and swept the season series from Moorestown. Paddy McNamara's two-out, three-run triple was the big hit, allowing the Roughriders to win their third straight game. McNamara's hit came after a triple by Mike Plakis and walks to Mike Cummings and Rob Oryl. The Roughs had trailed 6-4 at the start of the inning. Ryan McNamara pitched six innings (6 H, 6 ER, 7 BB, 5 K) to earn his first win of the year. Cummings earned the save by pitching a scoreless seventh. Dave Vadurro went 2-4 with two runs scored and an RBI.
Roughriders 3, West Deptford 2 June 18, 2008
WEST DEPTFORD - Mike Cummings threw a complete game, seven-hitter in a 3-2 win over host West Deptford. Cummings struck out four and walked only one to improve to 2-1 on the season. The Roughs held just a 2-1 lead through five innings before getting some much needed insurance in the sixth. Steve Wyland's two-out, RBI double scored Jeremy Clark (leadoff walk) to make it 3-1. West Deptford got to Cummings for a run in the seventh, but the righthander got the final three outs to keep the Roughs' win streak alive at four games.
Roughriders 13, Camden 1 (5 innings) June 20, 2008
HADDONFIELD - The Roughriders ended a perfect week and extended their win streak to five games by pounding Camden 13-1. Rob Oryl got things started in the first inning by doubling in two runs as the Roughs took a 4-0 lead. Oryl singled in two more runs in the fifth to finish off a 3-4 night (4 RBI, 2 R). Andrew Frangos also had three hits, including two RBIs and three runs scored. Starter Rob Schork earned his first win of the year, going all five innings. He yielded just two hits and struck out two, not allowing an earned run.
