Kepple's 7, Roughriders 2 August 4, 2004
Game 1 - Qtr Finals
HADDONFIELD - Kepple’s continued their mastery of the Roughriders in 2004 with a 7-2 win in the first game of the 2004 Quarter Finals. Trailing 1-0 in the first, Steve Wyland opened the game with a single. After advancing to second on a wild pitch, Dan Severino moved him to third with an out. Ian Wallace follwed with a RBI single to tie the game. Kepple’s then responded with a three spot in the third to take a 4-1 lead. The Roughs pushed a run across in the bottom half of the inning (RBI walk to Phil Arena) to pull within two, but Kepple’s would score three more runs in the fifth to seal the win. Tom Ford started and took the loss (3.1 IP, 3 ER). Game Two is scheduled for Thursday at Kepple’s.

Game 2 - Qtr Finals
CHERRY HILL - The Roughriders forced a Game Three Quarter Final playoff matchup by defeating Kepple’s 3-0. In the top of the second, Dave Page’s RBI groundout scored Rob Oryl to give the vistors an early 1-0 lead. Steve Wyland’s clutch RBI single and Dan Severino’s RBI groundout increased the lead to 3-0 in the sixth. Starter Brian Spicer pitched only the first inning after taking a line drive off his ankle, but the bullpen made the lead stand up as Drew Perry pitched three effective innings to earn the win. Mark Kraus pitched the final two innings to record the save. The decisive final game is scheduled for Friday at Russ Spicer Field.
Kepple's 4, Roughriders 3 August 6, 2004
Game 3 - Qtr Finals
HADDONFIELD - The Roughriders were defeated 4-3 by Kepple's Carpet, eliminating them from the 2004 playoffs. The Roughs struck first in the third, courtesy of Dan Severino's two-out RBI single. Kepple's tied the score in their half of the fourth, and went on to score three more in the fifth to build a 4-1 lead. The Roughs attempted to rally in the sixth, as Steve Wyland's double and Ian Wallace's walk setup a Mike Carlino two-run double to pull the home team within one. In the seventh, they advanced a runner to second but could not push the tying run across. Brian Spicer started and pitched 4.1 innings (7 H, 4 ER, 2 BB, 3 K). Rob Schork relieved and kept the Roughs within striking distance (2.2 IP, 0 H, 1 K). The Roughriders finish the season at 16-8-1 overall.
Series Notes:

-The Roughs are now 5-2 in Game Three playoffs at Radnor Avenue

-The playoff series win by Kepple’s was their first over the Roughs in four tries (1993, ’95, 2000)
