Tom Ford (0-2) was the hard-luck loser, pitching a complete game, four-hitter. He did not allow an earned run and struck out three. The hosts managed just four hits themselves and threatened only in the fifth, leaving the bases loaded. The game remained tied 0-0 until Kelly's pushed across four runs in the seventh.
