CHERRY HILL - Bill Opel pitched a no-hit, complete game on
Wednesday night, striking out 13 in the process, in a 5-0 win over host Cherry Hill. Opel,
a first year player from the College of New Jersey, was in command from the start and
finished off his gem by striking out the side in the seventh. Opel improved to 2-0 and
increased is team-leading strikeout total to 30. The Roughs got their starter all the runs
he needed in the first on an RBI single by Brett Young. Nick Lamonica successfully executed
the backend of a double steal to make it 2-0 in the second. The Roughs capped off the scoring
in the fifth on an RBI single by Mark Kraus and two-run single by Rob Oryl. Opel's complete game
no-hitter is the first in franchise history. Casey Carpenter and George Lovett previously combined
on a no-hitter back in 1992 versus Mullary's Texaco.

Kepple's 2, Roughriders 0

HADDONFIELD - The Roughriders had their four game win streak
snapped at the hands of Kepple's, 2-0. The home team managed just one hit in the game, a first
inning single by Matt Longo. Starter Rob Schork kept the Roughs in the game with five innings
of solid work, giving up just three hits (2 ER, 4 K, 4 BB). Brian Spicer, back from a broken wrist,
made his 2005 debut with one inning of work in the sixth (0 H, 0 R, 2 K). The Roughriders are
back in action on Sunday night in a home makeup game versus ProTryouts.
