CHERRY HILL - Steve Wyland and Bill Kohut hit RBI singles to break a 4-4 tie
in the fifth inning and send the Roughs to a 6-4 victory over Cherry Hill. Mike Carlino
(2-4, 2 runs) started the rally with a leadoff single. Dave Vadurro's (2-3, 2 RBI) double down
the left field line sent Carlino to third and setup the winning runs. The Roughs had taken
earlier leads of 2-0 and 4-2 only to see Cherry Hill battle back against starter Brian Spicer.
Spicer, who won his fourth game of the season versus no losses, settled in to shutdown
Cherry Hill over the final three innings. He allowed 10 hits and struck out six in a complete
game effort.

DEPTFORD - The Roughriders chance of securing first place on
the final day of the regular season was squelched by host Deptford in a 3-1 loss. The Roughs
were limited to just four hits and didn't score until the final frame. Mike Cummings (2-4) again
pitched well (6 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 0 BB, 3 K) but received little support. The loss pushed the Roughs
into second place overall and sets up a first round matchup versus West Deptford. Game One of the
best-of-three series is slated for 6pm in Haddonfield.
