WEEK 9

Roughriders 6, Cherry Hill 4 July 24, 2006
CHERRY HILL - Steve Wyland and Bill Kohut hit RBI singles to break a 4-4 tie in the fifth inning and send the Roughs to a 6-4 victory over Cherry Hill. Mike Carlino (2-4, 2 runs) started the rally with a leadoff single. Dave Vadurro's (2-3, 2 RBI) double down the left field line sent Carlino to third and setup the winning runs. The Roughs had taken earlier leads of 2-0 and 4-2 only to see Cherry Hill battle back against starter Brian Spicer. Spicer, who won his fourth game of the season versus no losses, settled in to shutdown Cherry Hill over the final three innings. He allowed 10 hits and struck out six in a complete game effort.
Bellmawr 14, Roughriders 4 July 26, 2006
BELLMAWR - The Roughriders lost to Bellmawr by a score of 14-4 on Wednesday night. With a chance to move closer to the regular season title, the Roughs found themselves down 3-0 after the first and 6-1 after three innings. Starting pitcher Rob Schork lost for just the second time in seven decisions
Roughriders 7, D'Andrea 0 July 27, 2006

Deptford 3, Roughriders 1 July 28, 2006
DEPTFORD - The Roughriders chance of securing first place on the final day of the regular season was squelched by host Deptford in a 3-1 loss. The Roughs were limited to just four hits and didn't score until the final frame. Mike Cummings (2-4) again pitched well (6 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 0 BB, 3 K) but received little support. The loss pushed the Roughs into second place overall and sets up a first round matchup versus West Deptford. Game One of the best-of-three series is slated for 6pm in Haddonfield.
