HADDONFIELD - Jim Nastasi and Ian Wallace both homered to
help rally the Roughriders to a 6-4 series opening victory over West Deptford. The win puts
the Roughs up 1-0 in the best-of-three Quarter Final Series. The Roughs found themselves down
4-0 after just a half inning but would score six unanswered runs to post the win. Mike Carlino
and Dan Severino each drove in a run to cut the lead to 4-2 after two innings. Nastasi launched
a two-run homer in the third with Dave Vadurro aboard to tie the game at 4-4. Ian Wallace
followed by leading off the fifth with the game winner, a solo shot to left. Rob Schork
battled (5.2 IP, 9 H, 4 ER, 4 BB, 4 K) despite a rough start to earn the win. Reliever Ryan
Smith picked up the save (1.1 IP, 0 H 0 R, 2 K). Wallace finished the game 4-4. Game Two is
scheduled for 6pm at Union Field in West Deptford.

August 1, 2006 Game 2 - Qtr Finals
WEST DEPTFORD - Dan Severino went 5-5 to lead the Roughriders
to a 16-0 win over West Deptford and a sweep of the first round series. The Roughs got three
in the first with Mike Carlino (2-4, 2 RBI, 2 2B) doubling in Severino for a quick 1-0 lead.
Dave Vadurro promptly followed with a run-scoring double to make it 2-0. Vadurro would
eventually score on a wild pitch for a 3-0 lead. Starter Brian Spicer went five efficient
innings, yielding three hits and striking out three for the win. In addition to his five hits,
Severino scored three runs and drew a walk. Vadurro went 2-3 with three RBI and a walk. The
Roughriders will meet Hardenberg in the Semi-Finals beginning on Saturday.
Series Notes:
-Severino went 7-8 in the series and his five hits in Game Two are a team playoff record
-The Roughriders outscored West Deptford 22-0 over the final 13 innings of the series
-The Roughriders advance to the Semi-Finals for the 11th time in their history
