Roughriders 3, Lakeview 0 June 30, 2008
CHERRY HILL- Mike Cummings pitched a three-hit, complete game in the Roughriders' 3-0 win over defending champion Lakeview on Monday night. Cummings struck out five and walked one to improve to 3-1 on the season. The Roughs jumped ahead quickly in their first at-bat when Andrew Frangos hit a sac fly and Mike Plakis scored on a wild pitch for a 2-0 lead. A leadoff walk and stolen base by Plakis in the seventh led to Mike Carlino's RBI single to plate the final run of the game.
Roughriders 7, Roco Auto 7 (6 innings) July 2, 2008
HADDONFIELD - The Roughriders squandered a 6-0 lead, then had to rally to force a 7-7 tie in a game shortened to six innings versus Roco Auto. The Roughs hit Roco with a six-spot in the second, highlighted by Mike Carlino's three-run homer, his first of the year. But Roco would score seven runs in the fifth, courtesy of six Roughrider errors, to take the lead. Roco had just one hit in the game. Mike Cummings' RBI single in the sixth scored Carlino (leadoff walk) to knot the game 7-7 before the game was called due to darkness. Carlino and Andrew Frangos both had three-hit games.
