WEEK 8

Roughriders at Hardenberg, PPD July 19, 2010
HADDON TWP - The game between the Roughriders and Hardenberg was called due to rain in the top of the fifth inning, with the Roughriders leading 4-0. By league rule, the game must be replayed from the beginning. The game will not be made up. Roughriders' starter Mike Reagle had a no-hitter through four innings.
Cherry Hill 6, Roughriders 1 July 20, 2010
HADDONFIELD – The Roughriders dropped their fifth straight game, this time to league leading Cherry Hill, by a score of 6-1. The game remained close until the fifth inning, when Cherry Hill scored five times off starter Phil Guinto (5.1 IP, 11 H, 6 ER, 2 BB, 4 K). The Roughriders got their only run in the sixth, on back-to-back doubles by Dave Vadurro and Guinto. The team hosts Pat’s Steaks tomorrow night in Lindenwold.
Pat's 11, Roughriders 3 July 21, 2010
LINDENWOLD – The Roughriders saw a first inning lead of 3-0 evaporate, as Pat’s scored 11 unanswered runs in an 11-3 blowout here on Wednesday night. Things looked good early for the Roughriders, who got RBI’s from Dave Vadurro, Phil Guinto, and Eric Juliani for a 3-0 after one. But Pat’s would tally runs in every inning after that off three different pitchers to bury the Roughs and sweep the season series. Roughrider batters struck out 12 times on the evening.
Camden 9, Roughriders 5 (6 innings) July 23, 2010
HADDONFIELD – The Roughs dropped their season finale to Camden by a score of 9-5, in a game called after six innings due to darkness. With the loss, the Roughriders end the regular season with seven straight losses and finish twelfth overall in the TriCounty standings. Trailing 5-1 in the third, the Roughs attempted to make a game of it. Pitcher Derek Zaleski started the rally with a walk and came home on Andrew Frangos’ RBI triple. Zach Schneider walked and on a steal attempt of second, Frangos walked home on an errant throw. A two-run double by Rob Oryl then scored Schneider and Andrew Juliani (walk) to tie the game, 5-5. Camden, however, scored four runs over the final three innings to get the win. The Roughriders will play an in-game playoff versus Cherry Hill, the number nine seed, on Sunday at 5pm.
