HADDONFIELD – Zach Welsher dominated Camden with a complete game shutout, limiting the defending champions to just two hits,
in a 5-0 win. The right-hander struck out five to put the Roughriders up 1-0 in the best-of-three Quarter Final series. All the scoring came in the third inning
when the Roughs loaded the bases with no outs. John Tedeschi singled in the first run and Tom Daly’s fielder’s choice made it 2-0. Adam Bartholomew’s single to
center scored Jack Parkinson for a 3-0 lead. Thomas Gosse followed with another single to score Daly and when Kevin Lammers was HBP with the bases still loaded,
the scoring was complete at 5-0. Gosse finished 2-2 with a walk and RBI. Game Two is scheduled for tomorrow night in Camden.

July 25, 2017 Game 2 - Qtr Finals
CAMDEN – The Roughriders fell behind 3-0 after the first inning, but scored five unanswered runs to defeat Camden 5-3 and sweep
their Quarter Final playoff series. The comeback began in the second inning when Tom Daly singled and Tyler Easterday doubled. Noah Clement (2-2, RS, RBI, BB) then delivered an RBI
single to score Daly to make it 3-1. Kevin Lammers fielder’s choice RBI with one out scored Easterday to narrow the gap to 3-2. Mike Byrnes’ RBI single would
score Clement in the third to tie the game and the Roughs pushed across an unearned run in the fifth to take the lead. Byrnes led off the sixth with a double and
eventually scored on an errant pickoff attempt from the catcher at third base to make it 5-3. Starter Drew Dark shook off the rocky first inning to shutout Camden
the rest of the way (6 IP, 6 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 2 K). Byrnes finished 2-3 with a double, RBI and run scored. With the series win, the Roughriders face the two
seed from the regular season, Cherry Hill, in the Semi Finals beginning next Monday.
