HADDONFIELD – Nick DeRitis struck out nine over seven innings to record his first TriCounty win in the Roughriders’ 9-3 victory
over visiting CHBR. Tied 1-1 in the fourth, the Roughs exploded for seven runs to blow the game open. Greg Elfreth’s sac fly with the bases loaded started the
scoring and Mike Byrnes followed with an RBI double to make it 3-1. The inning was capped by Ronny Silvestro and Tom Daly, who banged RBI singles to make it 8-1.
DeRitis’ first win was of the complete game variety, allowing six hits and three earned runs. He walked three.

WASHINGTON TWP – Zach Welsher ran his consecutive scoreless streak to 15 innings, hurling a complete game shutout
(3 H, 2 BB, 10 K) in a 1-0 victory over the Washington Township Senators. The Roughs were held to just two hits themselves, but scratched out a run in the fifth inning.
In his season debut, Brandon Cornelius doubled to start the inning and eventually scored when RJ Concepcion’s fly ball to right was misplayed.
Welsher worked around a lead-off single in the seventh to tally his second win.

CHERRY HILL – Reliever Shayne Clowar earned his first victory in his first start of the year, striking out five over four
innings (5 H, 1 ER) in a 10-4 romp over CHBR/Third Base. John Tedeschi, Andrew Phillips, RJ Concepcion, and Greg Elfreth each drove in a run in the team’s
four-run first inning. Clowar, Dom Giandonato (2 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 1 K) and Dom Kratky (1 IP, 0 H, 2 BB) combined to hold CHBR to four runs, helping the
Roughs win their fourth straight.

HADDONFIELD – Greg Elfreth's walkoff, RBI single capped a furious five-run seventh inning in the Roughriders' 8-7 comeback win over
Cherry Hill. Trailing 7-3 in the bottom of the seventh, Kevin Lammers walked, Dan Brown singled, and Jack Parkinson walked to load the bases with no outs.
Thomas Gosse’ hit a sac fly and Ronny Silvestro then drove in a pair with a single to make it 7-6. Tom Daly followed with a single and when John Tedeschi singled to score
Silvestro, the game was tied at seven. After a strikeout and hit-by-pitch to Andrew Phillips, Elfreth with two outs deposited the game winner into left field.
Alex Pierznik was credited with his first career win, coming out of the bullpen and throwing three innings (2 H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 5 K).
