RUNNEMEDE - The Roughriders dropped a 3-2 decision to the SJ Grizzlies on Monday night, again letting an early lead turn into a
loss. The team has now lost three of their last four. The Roughs jumped out 2-0 in the second, when Mike Shannon (1-3, RS, RBI) and Nate Johnson (1-3, RBI) delivered
run scoring singles. The lead remained 2-1 into the fifth, when the Grizzlies scored twice to take the game and season series. Drew Dark pitched well, but
absorbed the loss in a complete game effort (7 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 0 BB, 4 K). The Roughs begin a home-and-home series with Cherry Hill tomorrow night in
Pitman.

PITMAN - Monny Strickland's clutch two-out, two-run double in the seventh inning was the difference in a 4-3 victory over
Cherry Hill. Down 3-2, Aiden Nesemeier and Thomas Gosse' led off the final frame with walks. After a fielder's choice and strikeout, Danny Vazquez walked to
load the bases. Strickland then doubled down the line in left field to put the Roughs up 4-3. Zach Welsher earned his first win out of the pen with four innings
of relief work (6 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 5 K). Drew Dark, subbing as the right fielder in the seventh, cut down the potential tying run with a perfect throw to home
plate on a base hit to preserve the win. The Roughs fought back from a early 3-0 hole to close it to 3-2 in the fifth before Strickland's heroics. The left fielder finished 2-4 with two RBI.

HADDONFIELD - Mike Shannon won for the third straight time this season, and even helped his own cause as a hitter, as the Roughriders
won 2-1 over Cherry Hill. Shannon allowed a first inning run, then dominated the rest of the way. Overall, he allowed five hits, walked three, and
struck out five. Hitting for himself on this night, Shannon lofted a second inning sac fly to score Thomas Gosse' to knot the game 1-1. The Roughriders broke the tie
the very next inning, when Jim Bruno's RBI single scored Eric Sabato for a 2-1 lead. With the win, the Roughs took the season series from Cherry Hill 3-1.
