HADDON TWP - On a night dominated by pitching, the visiting Senators took a 2-0 decision from the Roughriders. Zach Welsher pitched well, hurling six innings of three-hit ball and allowing just an earned run (3 BB, 5K). The Roughriders were held to just two hits (Ian Murphy, Isaiah Ishmail) and just three baserunners for the entire game. The Roughriders visit the SJ Grizzlies tomorrow to close out the week.

RUNNEMEDE- Chris Brown won for the third time this season versus no losses as the Roughriders defeated the SJ Grizzlies 5-2. Trailing 2-0 in the second, Shane Daly started some two-out magic with a single. Eric Sabato doubled to right field to score Daly and Jim Bruno followed with an RBI single to tie the game 2-2. In the third, the Roughs took the lead for good. Chris Brown helped his own cause with a leadoff single and stolen base. With one out, Connor Ward's infield single sent Brown to third and Zach Welsher's fielder's choice brought Brown home with the go ahead run. The visitors would add insurance in the seventh on an RBI single by Bruno and sacrifice fly by Isaiah Ishmail. Brown went five innings for the win (4 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 6 K) and John DiConstanzo picked up a two-inning save (2 IP, 1 H, 2 BB, 4 K).
