CAMDEN- The Roughriders took Game One of their Qualifying Round series, defeating Camden 5-1. John DiCosntazo earned the win with a strong showing. He went five innings, allowing just three hits (2 BB, 1 K). The Roughs took an early 2-0 lead with some timely hitting. Ian Murphy's two-out RBI single scored Shea McKenna for 1-0 first inning lead. McKenna's two-out RBI double scored Sean Perkins to increase the lead to 2-0 in the second. With the score 2-1 in the fifth, the Roughriders put the game away with yet another two-out RBI. Aaron Graeber's RBI double to left scored both McKenna and Connor Ward for 5-1 lead. Zach Welsher closed out the game with two perfect innings of relief (0 H, 1 K).
CAMDEN - Camden forced a Game Three with a 5-4 extra inning win over the Roughriders. Trailing 3-2 in the fourth, the Roughs looked poised to take the series scoring twice. With one out, Ian Murphy doubled to right and Jack Murphy sent him to third with a single. Sean Perkins' sac fly scored Ian Murphy and advance Jack Murphy to second. Evan Carbone then delivered an RBI single with two outs to make the score 4-3. Camden, however, tallied a run in the sixth to force extras, then got a two-out RBI single to win in the ninth. Game Three of the series is scheduled for tomorrow at 7:00pm in Camden.

CAMDEN – The Roughriders earned a hard fought 4-3 win over Camden, taking the Qualifying Round 2-1 and advanced to the Quarter Finals. Trailing 2-1 in the fourth, the Roughs took the lead for good with a three-spot. Ian Murphy led off the inning with a walk. With one out, Sean Perkins singled and Evan Carbone walked to load the bases. Vinny Panvini's RBI single tied the contest 2-2 and Shea McKenna's two-out, two-run single gave the Roughs a 4-2 advantage. Marty Foust earned the win in relief of Cole Bauman by not yielding a hit (2.2 IP, 2 BB, 1 K) and Zach Welsher recorded his first save of the season (2 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 2 K).
