Roughriders 9, Cherry Hill 4 (6 innings) June 6, 2011
CHERRY HILL - The Roughriders used a six-run fourth inning to defeat host Cherry Hill by a score of 9-4 on Monday evening. Trailing 3-1 entering the fourth, Chris Vonderschmidt tripled in Eric Juliani to pull the visitors to 3-2. Rory McTear’s RBI single tied it, and after singles by Andrew Frangos and Andrew Juliani, Adriano Petrutz’s sac fly scored McTear for a 4-3 lead. The Roughs would go on to add three more runs in the inning, including an RBI single by Mike McGee. Dan Synder started and earned the win with three inning of work (6 H, 3 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 3K) in his Roughrider debut. Mike Reagle went the final three (3 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 2K) to earn a save. Vonderschmidt went 2-3 with an RBI and run scored, and McGee finished 2-4 with two RBI and a run scored.
Deptford 8, Roughriders 4 June 8, 2011
LINDENWOLD - The Roughriders saw their modest two game win streak halted by Deptford in an 8-4 loss. The visitors had leads of 3-1, 5-1, and 8-1 in downing the Roughs. Phil Guinto went 2-2 including a double, and Rory McTear drove in a run with a double for the home team.
Roughriders 7, Camden 3 (5 innings) June 9, 2011
CAMDEN – Ryan Easterday belted out three hits and drove in two runs as the Roughriders defeated Camden 7-3 in a game shortened to five innings due to lightning. Easterday doubled in a run in the first, and singled in another in a three-run third inning that put the Roughs ahead for good. Derek Zaleski pitched a complete game to earn his first win (5 IP, 8 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 1 K). Phil Guinto went 1-3 and drove in two runs with a sac fly and a double, while Chris Vonderschmidt extended his hit streak to four games with two more hits and an RBI.
