Deptford 8, Roughriders 7 June 29, 2009
HADDONFIELD- The Roughrider rallied for four runs in the seventh inning, but fell one run short in an 8-7 loss to Deptford. Deptford jumped to a 6-1 lead after three innings off starter Mike Reagle (4 IP, 5 H, 6 R, 4 ER, 3 BB). The Roughs scored two in the fourth to close the lead to 6-3, but would fail to score any additional runs despite loading the bases with no outs. In total, the Roughs left 10 men on base through five innings and would leave the tying run at third in the seventh. Adriano Petrutz walked three times and scored three runs and Eric Juliani went 2-3 with a double and RBI.
Roughriders 5, Mack Ice 1 July 1, 2009
GLOUCESTER TWP - Jeremy Clark and Brian Spicer combined on a one-hitter as the Roughs beat Mack Ice, 5-1. Clark, making an emergency start, went the first three innings to earn the win. He gave up an unearned run, walking two and striking out three. Spicer went the last four innings, giving up that one hit while striking out three in earning a save. Dan Diorio broke open a close game in the fifth, tripling in Adriano Petrutz and Mike Cummings to produce the final score.
Conlin 5, Roughriders 2 July 2, 2009
WASHINGTON TWP - The Roughriders dropped a 5-2 decision to Conlin Baseball, who stayed undefeated through 12 games. Conlin led 4-0 after an inning and tacked on their final run in the third off starter Dan Diorio (3 IP, 5 H, 5 R, 5 ER, 4 BB, 1 K). The Roughriders again struggled to get key hits, leaving nine runners on base through five innings. Adriano Petrutz ended Conlin's 13-inning scoreless streak against the Roughs, hitting his second homer of the season with Phil Arena aboard in the seventh.
