QTR-FINALS Hardenberg 4, Roughriders 2 July 30, 2012 Game 1 - Qtr-Finals HADDONFIELD – The Roughriders were defeated by Hardenberg, 4-2, and trail the best-of-three Quarter Final Series 1-0. The Roughs trailed 4-0 in the bottom of the fourth when they broke through with a run on a bases loaded walk to Phil Guinto. In the fifth, Chris Vonderschmidt hit a leadoff triple and Ryan Easterday followed with an RBI double to close the game to 4-2, but the rally would stall and Hardenberg took Game One. Mike Reagle recorded a complete game in the loss, allowing four earned runs on seven hits (6 BB, 5 K). Hardenberg 4, Roughriders 0 July 31, 2012 Game 2 - Qtr-Finals HADDON TWP – Hardenberg eliminated the Roughriders from the 2012 playoffs with a 4-0 win on Tuesday night. Dean Wilson allowed an unearned run in the first, and the game stayed 1-0 until the sixth, when Hardenberg scored three times (one earned) to put the game and series away. Wilson allowed only three hits and just the earned run, striking out eight and walking five. Chris Vonderschmidt went 2-4 in the lone offensive highlight. The Roughriders finished the year 18-9-1 overall. Series Notes: -The Roughriders are now 1-5 all-time versus Hardenberg in post-season play The Roughriders swept the regular season series from Hardenberg, 3-0 -Reagle and Wilson both notched complete games in the series.
