WASHINGTON TWP – Dave Young pitched his second complete game of the season as the Roughriders started the week with a 7-4 win over the
Senators. Young won for the third time this year, yielding seven hits and striking out seven. He took a shutout to the seventh when the Sens scored four times.
Leading 1-0 in the fifth, the Roughs would break the game open with a five-spot. Phil Guinto doubled in two runs and Adam Bartholomew followed with an RBI
triple to make it 4-0. Ryan Easterday’s RBI groundout made it 5-0 and Dene Vespe would eventually score on Eric Juliani’s RBI single for a 6-0 lead.
Easterday finished 2-4 with a run scored, RBI, and stolen base. Juliani went 2-3, including two RBI.

BELLMAWR – Phil Guinto went 3-3, including a home run and five RBI to lead the Roughriders to an 8-5 victory over Bellmawr.
Nick Cavanaugh won his fifth game of the summer, scattering nine hits and allowing three earned runs in a complete game effort. He struck out six and walked
three. Trailing 3-0 in the third, Guinto homered to deep left with Dave Young aboard to cut the lead to 3-2. In the fifth, Guinto singled in Mike Byrnes to
tie the game and then scored on Dene Vespe’s double giving the Roughs the lead for good. Guinto would add two more RBI in the sixth to make it 7-4. Eric Juliani
banged out three hits, including a double and two RBI, to aid the offense.

HADDONFIELD -The Roughriders defeated Maple Shade by a score of 9-4 on Wednesday night, sweeping the season series. Eric Juliani
(3 IP, 1 H, 1 ER, 3 BB, 2 K) and Mark DiArenzo (3 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 3 K) combined on a five-hitter in a game shortened to six innings due to darkness.
Juliani was awarded the win. Adam Bartholomew went 2-3 with a double, triple, and two RBI while Dave Young went 2-4 including three RBI.

HADDONFIELD – The Roughriders saw their seven-game unbeaten streak snapped at the hands of Whiskey Barrel in a 4-1 defeat.
The Roughs were held to five hits and didn’t score until the seventh, getting their only run on Phil Guinto’s RBI groundout which scored Dave Young.
The Roughs close out the regular season by hosting Cherry Hill on Friday night with a chance to tie for the regular season championship.

HADDONFIELD - The Roughriders pounded out 14 hits in a 9-1 season-ending victory over Cherry Hill. With the win, the Roughs
clinched the regular season championship and secured the number one seed in the playoffs. Phil Guinto and Alex Reinicker each had three hits to lead an offense
which scored five times in the second, building a commanding 6-0 lead. Guinto belted out three doubles and two RBI while Reinicker went 3-4 with three runs scored
and two RBI. Ryan Easterday earned the win with four effective innings of work. He allowed no runs and two hits, striking out four and walking two.
The Roughriders will host a home playoff game, the first of a best-of-three Quarter Final series, on Tuesday, July 29 starting at 6pm.
