Roughriders 9, Washington Twp Senators 3 July 20, 2016 HADDONFIELD – John Tedeschi slammed a three-run homer in the first inning, and Drew Dark won for the third time this season in a 9-3 win over visiting Washington Township. Dark pitched six shutout innings, giving up just three hits while striking out three. He walked two batters. Mike McLaughlin also drove in three runs, including a two-run homer in the sixth to make it 9-0. The Roughs wrap up the season with home games versus Seabrook and UTEK this week before the playoffs officially begin on Sunday, July 24. Seabrook 10, Roughriders 2 July 21, 2016 HADDONFIELD - Seabrook scored six runs over the final three innings and swept the season series from the Roughriders, winning 10-4 on Thursday evening. Mike Byrnes went 3-3 with an RBI and stolen base to support the offense, but Roughrider pitching was roughed up for 15 hits and 10 earned runs in this one. The team can still secure a playoff bye, finishing in the top six by defeating UTEK on Friday. Roughriders 12, UTEK 9 July 22, 2016 HADDONFIELD – Needing a win to secure sixth place overall in the standings, and advance directly to the Quarter Final round, the Roughriders scored eight runs in the first inning and then held on for a 12-9 victory over UTEK. Adam Bartholomew's bases loaded triple was the big blow in the eight-run first, as the Roughriders used four hits and five walks to break the game open early. Bartholomew finished with four RBI on the evening while Drew Dark drove in three himself, including a two-run double in the third. Nick Cavanaugh won for the first time this season, notching a complete game. The Roughriders will meet the number three seed, Washington Township, on Tuesday July 26 in a best-of-three series.
