PITMAN - Garton's used a four-run first inning to beat the Roughriders 7-3 in Game One of the TriCounty Finals. Brandon Cornelius
hit a solo homer in the fourth to cut the lead to 4-1, but Garton's responded with three more runs in their half to gain a 7-1 lead. RJ Concepcion's double scored
John Tedeschi in the fifth and Jack Parkinson's home run in the sixth closed out the scoring. Game Two is on tap for tomorrow night at 7pm.
PITMAN - The Roughriders were held to just three hits as Garton's won the 2018 Carter Cup for a second straight year, posting a
9-1 victory. Brandon Cornelius accounted for the Roughs' only run when he hit a solo home run to lead off the fifth inning. The Roughriders finished the season
with an overall record of 18-10-1.
