VINELAND – In a rematch of last year's Finals, Garton's broke open a close game in the sixth inning, scoring three times,
and defeated the Roughriders 5-0. It was their third straight loss to start the season. The Roughs did manage six hits, two each by Tom Daly and Thomas Gosse’,
but continued to struggle producing runs in the early going of 2018.

WOODBURY HEIGHTS – Carter Fichter struck out 14 batters and limited the Grizzlies to one hit over six innings, helping the
Roughriders earn their first win of the season by a score of 5-1. RJ Concepcion's RBI single in the first scored Thomas Gosse' for a quick 1-0 lead. In the second,
Jack Parkinson doubled in Mike Byrnes and Andrew Phillips for a 3-0 lead. John Tedeschi added an RBI single in the third and Tom Daly an RBI double in the seventh
to make it 5-1. Fichter worked the first six innings and Noah Clement pitched the seventh to earn the save.
HADDONFIELD – Drew Dark threw a complete game, five-hitter and Alex Pierznik went 2-3 with an RBI in his TriCounty
debut to lead the Roughriders to a 3-1 victory over Cherry Hill. Pierznik, getting the start at second base,
ripped an RBI single to score Mike Byrnes and give the Roughs a 2-0 lead in the second. That’s all the run support Dark would need to notch his first win of the
season. He walked three and struck out one.
