| HADDONFIELD – The South Jersey Grizzlies took Game One of their Quarter Final Series matchup by a score of 7-3 over the Roughriders. The Grizzlies used a two-run third and four-run fourth to build a 6-2 lead after four innings of play. The Roughs threatened to get back into the game over the final three innings, loading the bases each time with one out, but would plate just a single run. Tom Daly (2-3, HBP) and Drew Dark (2-2, 2B, BB, RS) each contributed multi-hit games. Game Two is scheduled for tomorrow night at Washington Lake Park starting at 7pm. | |

| WASHINGTON TWP – Drew Dark twirled a three-hit shutout, leading the Roughriders to an 11-0 win and tying up their Quarter Final Series at 1-1. Dark was in command the entire game, giving up just five hits while striking out five. It was his second career playoff win. The visitors led 2-0 as the game entered the fifth, when the Roughs hit the Grizzlies with a knockout blow. Mike Byrnes delivered a bases loaded single to score two and three batters later Jack Parkinson did the same with a double, all part of a five-run fifth. In the sixth Byrnes was at it again, this time tripling in two more runs to build a 9-0 lead. Byrnes would finish with three hits and four RBI on the evening. Game Three will be played on Thursday night in Haddonfield. | |

| HADDONFIELD – The Roughriders defeated the South Jersey Grizzlies 14-4 behind a 13-hit attack and advanced to the league’s Semi Final round. A quick start proved too much to overcome for the Grizzlies on this night. Brandon Cornelius’ RBI single in the first helped the Roughs to an early 2-0 lead. Greg Elfreth’s RBI double made it 3-0 in the second, and Ronny Silvestro then tagged a two-run homer to right to make it 5-0. Carter Fichter won for the fourth time this season and for the third time over the Grizzlies in 2018. Fichter went six innings, allowing six hits and four earned runs. He walked one and struck out seven. Cornelius went 3-4 including a double and solo homer to go along with two RBI and two runs scored. | |
